Ranthambore Safari to cost more

Safari fares at Ranthambore Tiger Reserve have been increased effective 20th March for both Indian & foreign visitors. There has been an increase in park visit fee & vehicle entry fee which has led to this increase, both these components have doubled which has led to an increase in price.

*Per person fee

There has been a hike in video camera fees as well, Video camera fee for Indian tourist is now 600/- per safari whereas it is 900/- per person per safari for foreign nationals. There has been no change in the vehicle rent fee whereas the guide fee was already increased at the beginning of this tourism season.

Justifying this increase forest department claims that the last hike in park visit fees and vehicle entry fees was done 7 years back, while the same was to be increased at the beginning of this season itself in Oct 2014 they have been increased now. Also, as per provision Ranthambore safari fee is to be revised every 5 years so there would be no such increase till 2019.

Who does it impact?

All park visitors effective 20th March morning safari would need to pay the increased fare.

If I have already booked online do, I still need to pay the increased fare?

Yes, the differential amount needs to be paid at the time of boarding pass release.

Please note that these charges are actual fees charged by the forest department. Hotels & travel agents do charge a service for arranging safaris therefore please check with your lodge /agent for actual prices before booking one.
