1-night stay on the boat

Day 1

The journey starts with a pickup facility at Kolkata by 9 AM on a 3-hour journey towards Godkali, Sundarbans. From there, our journey continues for an additional one and a half hours through some of the most beautiful rivers like Bidya, Hogol, Gomar, Gundi and Durgaduani.

In the evening, as the boat anchors in one of the villages for fresh supplies, we will explore the village on foot, getting to know more about the lives, culture and people of Sunderbans.

Dinner and overnight stay on the Boat.

Days 2 & 3

Today, we will be going even deeper into the delta as this full-day cruise will take us through twisted rivers and narrow creeks of the Sundarbans. Apart from Sudhanyakhali, we will visit Do Banki and Nethi Dhopani during this journey. The adventure will truly be at its best as at Do Banki, you will get a chance to go on a canopy walk where you will encounter rare wildlife from a netted enclosure.

All meals on the boat, overnight stay at the Resort.

Day 4

We kick the day off with a morning and afternoon boat safari, where you’ll be served breakfast and lunch. The journey will transfer you back to Godkhali and drop you back at Kolkata Airport.

• Any meals during transit and travel other than those mentioned in the itinerary.
• The additional cost of transport/ stay resulting from delays due to storms, sickness, flight cancellations, etc. 
• Cost for additional trips apart from the group itinerary.
• Anything that is not part of the inclusions above.

Cancellation Policy – 

Full Refund - If cancelled 60 days in advance.

50% Refund - If cancelled between 30-59 days.

No refund if cancellation in less than 30 days before the trip date

No refund will be possible or adjusted in case of a no-show/last-minute emergency/early departure.


REFUND METHOD: Any refund due will be paid in the same manner as payment was received at the time of booking, within 7 working days of cancellation. Under no circumstances will Tigerwalah issue a cash refund.

Who should participate in this Tour? Are there any eligibility criteria?

Anybody interested in wildlife /photography and over 18 years old (unless accompanied by an adult) can participate in this Tour. There are no eligibility criteria.

I am a newbie in nature & wildlife photography. Am I eligible?

Absolutely! This Tour is meant for all wildlife & nature lovers. Since this is not a photography workshop, we would not talk about the nuances of photography however essential on-field assistance is always available. Evening discussions would include round-up on park & current sighting dynamics, general do’s & don’ts, briefing on schedule for the next day & occasional interactions with subject matter experts.

How does staying on the boat work out?

The idea of a boat stay is to provide a unique experience to guests during the visit. Each boat has a row of beds on the lower deck which are separated from each other on which one can rest. The boat is equipped with a petrol generator which can be used for powering fans at night. An additional boat anchors along in case more beds are required for participants.

Each boat is equipped with a western toilet meant for guest use only. Also, mobile phones and camera batteries can be charged using the charging points.

What is included in the package?

While detailed inclusions & exclusions have been mentioned along with costs, in case of any confusion please feel free to clarify the same with us. Generally, all trips as ex-destination i.e. travel costs to destination are not included in the cost. Travel from the nearest railway station/ airport is covered in cost unless mentioned otherwise. We do assist with travel in case required at actual costs.

While we endeavour to provide all possible amenities at locations, sometimes the same can be a challenge due to unforeseen circumstances that are beyond the control of vendors/associates.

Trust this would not be a limiting constraint as the focus is on experiencing the wilderness.

What about cancellation & refunds in case I wish to cancel my seat?

Cancellation for an event will be considered via written mail to info@tigerwalah.com. The mail date would be considered for the calculation of the cancellation fee.
